The Citroen C5 Aircross will be launched in India tomorrow. It will be competing cars like the Jeep Compass and Volkswagen Tiguan. It's estimated price is 25 - 29 lakhs.
The C5 Aircross boasts a tasteful crossover-like stance, with notable styling bits such as a dual-beam LED headlamp, LED DRL setup, a twin-slat split front grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lamps, and an upright rear end with split LED tail lamps.
The cabin is pretty loaded with split AC vents that blend in nicely with the dashboard. It also gets several premium bits such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster display for the driver, a panoramic sunroof, foot-operated electric tailgate, air purifier, phone mirroring, mood lighting, and three individually adjustable rear seats.
Practicality is the name of the game with a boot space of 580 litres, with all the seats up. Reclining the rear seats forward bumps up that capacity to 720 litres, and folding the three individual rear seats increases it to 1,630 litres. Safety is covered by six airbags, ABS with EBD, blindspot monitoring, electric parking brake, reverse camera, and a grip control system with five modes.
It will feature all the luxury features like it's competitors like panoramic sunroof, individually retractable seats and many other stunning looks and features. There wont be a big price difference in the variants as both of them are fully loaded.
A sole 2.0-litre diesel engine with 177PS of power and 400Nm of torque will provide propulsion to the C5 Aircross, for an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It’ll also come with Citroen’s Progressive Hydraulic Cushion suspension system that’s proved to prevent discomfort from bumps. It’s also called the ‘flying carpet’ effect.
